The Bow & Verse Writing Club

Bow & Verse is a monthly gathering in Calgary for founders, creatives, and professionals who care about writing—or want to make more room for it in their lives. The format is intentionally simple. Each evening, a few people share poetry, journal entries, short pieces, or works in progress, while everyone else listens. From there, conversation unfolds naturally—around language, craft, what people are reading or exploring, and the occasional tangent that emerges when the room is at ease. The pace is relaxed and deliberate: enough structure to support those sharing, and enough openness that it never feels performative. No experience is required. You’re welcome to bring something to read, or simply come to listen and connect with others who value thoughtful expression. We’re always glad to welcome new faces.
